A little about the position:

Job Summary

The Director of Finance – Autocovers is responsible for complete financial and accounting oversight of the Autocover division. Serving as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and division executives, along with Finance and Accounting Executives. This leader ensures compliance, accurate reporting, strategic insight, strong cross-functional alignment, and continuous improvement across financial operations.

 

Some of What You Will Do:

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key finance partner to the General Manager and other Autocover division executives.
  • Lead strategy setting, execution oversight, and financial reporting of strategic initiatives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and other teams to drive aligned financial decision-making across entire division.
  • Create, manage, and report KPIs to improve financial results, operational insights, and business performance.
  • Manage vendor relationships and provide financial leadership related to pricing, performance, and contract alignment.

Financial Management Responsibilities:

  • Lead and improve ongoing forecasting processes for the full Autocover business unit.
  • Manage customer and product margin reporting, ensuring insights into profitability and pricing.
  • Support M&A diligence and integration efforts as required.

Accounting & Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and assume ultimate responsibility for all accounting and finance aspects of the Autocover division.
  • Ensure accounting accuracy, SOX compliance, and Sales Tax compliance.
  • Oversee month-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
  • Lead inventory process management and drive continuous improvements.
  • Partner with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Treasury to ensure optimal execution for Autocover-specific processes.
  • Provide oversight and management of data integrity across financial systems and reporting.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis for executive leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Public company finance experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Finance/Accounting/GAAP principles; CPA a plus.
  • Five or more years of experience in Corporate Finance or FP&A, preferably experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with M&A processes and due diligence processes. 
  • Experience with inventory accounting, absorption, standards setting, and variance analysis.
  • Proven track record as an effective business partner to senior management.
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with MS Office.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Employment Type: Hybrid

Status: Full-time

Salary Range: $150,000-$215,000

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets.  Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.

Bonus:  MIB Tier 2, 17.5% of base pay
