Production Supervisor - Off Shift

Hourly range for this position is $33.02 per hour + OT but may increase depending upon experience.

Primary Role: Ensure the successful production actives of a single shift. Manage the daily production related to KPI’s for singular shift. Support a strong employee culture through the reinforcement of Latham’s Core Values.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise operations to ensure positive labor efficiency and variance through proper usage of personnel
- Follow company safety policies and programs to promote a safety-first culture throughout the facility
- Maintain high level of quality throughout the manufacturing process
- Responsible for production, meeting daily schedule to insure on time delivery while minimizing overtime
- Maintain a high level of quality by doing regular inspections of products
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to identify efficiency issues and suggest improvements to solve the problems.
- Submit reports on performance and progress to direct manager
- Communicate job expectations, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (Safety, EEO, Sexual Harassment, Quality, etc.)
- Participates in the hiring, training and review process of production employees.
- Monitor attendance and take disciplinary steps as required up to the termination
- Facilitate daily shift meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Associate degree with experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in manufacturing/engineering related function
- Required – Proficiency with all MS Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience with payroll systems is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints
- Must be able to work overtime when necessary, including extended hours or weekends
- Strong verbal and written communication skills- ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
- Lean Manufacturing or 5S experience desired
- Good understanding of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, employee relations
- Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressure
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Exceptional leadership skills with a sense of urgency and strong aptitude
- Ability to develop, maintain and motivate a strong team
- Ability to solve practical problems and difficult situations
- Regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand; walk; bend; use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms, prolonged sitting, repetitive computer use, ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly
- Bilingual preferred
