Hourly range for this position is $33.02 per hour + OT but may increase depending upon experience.

Primary Role:       Ensure the successful production actives of a single shift.  Manage the daily production related to KPI’s for singular shift.  Support a strong employee culture through the reinforcement of Latham’s Core Values. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  1. Supervise operations to ensure positive labor efficiency and variance through proper usage of personnel 
  2. Follow company safety policies and programs to promote a safety-first culture throughout the facility 
  3. Maintain high level of quality throughout the manufacturing process 
  4. Responsible for production, meeting daily schedule to insure on time delivery while minimizing overtime 
  5. Maintain a high level of quality by doing regular inspections of products 
  6. Utilize lean manufacturing principles to identify efficiency issues and suggest improvements to solve the problems. 
  7. Submit reports on performance and progress to direct manager 
  8. Communicate job expectations, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees 
  9. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (Safety, EEO, Sexual Harassment, Quality, etc.)  
  10. Participates in the hiring, training and review process of production employees.  
  11. Monitor attendance and take disciplinary steps as required up to the termination  
  12. Facilitate daily shift meetings 
  13. Other duties as assigned 
  
Qualifications: 
  • Minimum of Associate degree with experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in manufacturing/engineering related function 
  • Required – Proficiency with all MS Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) 
  • Experience with payroll systems is a plus 
  • Ability to read blueprints 
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary, including extended hours or weekends 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills- ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization 
  • Lean Manufacturing or 5S experience desired 
  • Good understanding of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, employee relations 
  • Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressure 
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions 
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a sense of urgency and strong aptitude 
  • Ability to develop, maintain and motivate a strong team 
  • Ability to solve practical problems and difficult situations 
  • Regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand; walk; bend; use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms, prolonged sitting, repetitive computer use, ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly 
  • Bilingual preferred
