A little about the position:
The primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager (BDM) - Fiberglass - North Central US role is in the recruitment and closing of new Latham Fiberglass Pool Dealers in the assigned territory. The BDM continuously works to improve Latham's market share and achieve financial growth through the implementation of organizational strategic goals, negotiating and closing business deals, building key customer relationships , and identifying business opportunities all with the goal of maximizing revenue and margin from the sales of fiberglass pools.
The ideal candidate will be located in the Chicago, Indianapolis, or Minneapolis metropolitan areas. 
 
Some of What You Will Do:
  • Implement the Strategy of the Fiberglass Division working with sales teammates, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. 
  • Develop strategies to ensure growth in the fiberglass pool sales at the dealer and region level to meet organization goals.
  • Logistics initiatives to seek efficiencies that drive margin improvement.
  • Prospecting for new Latham Fiberglass dealers.
  • New products and program introductions, championing all new fiberglass brand, product and service additions/deletions/enhancements for implementation and adoption.
  • Establish initial pricing programs
  • Promotion of marketing/branding programs.
  • Assist in specific market research and data gathering initiatives.
  • Be a leader in the growth and development of new and existing dealers 
  • In conjunction with the National Sales Director (NSD), assists in the hiring, training, and development of Dealer Success Managers.  Also assists NSD with review of sales performance regularly to determine successes, gaps, opportunities, and risks.
  • Assists in the management and collection of accounts receivables.
  • Participate in company and industry events, including trade shows.
What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing and a minimum of 5+ years of successful sales and/or marketing experience preferred; Associate Degree or equivalent may be substituted with commensurate experience.
  • A proven record of effective Business Development, Networking, Public Speaking, Territory Management, Training and Motivation Skills, Meeting Sales Goals, Professionalism, Reading and Writing Sales Plans and Financial Reports.
  • Experience in the swimming pool industry.
  • Strong technical acumen/experience required.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation/training skills.
  • Travel Requirements: Approximately 70% of the time with overnights; previous overnight travel experience (50% minimum) a plus.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office:  Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, Mobile Applications, and online conferencing software.

Status: Full-time
Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets.  Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
Bonus:  SIP Tier 2 – 40% target of base pay.
