Who We’re Looking For:

As a key member of the Sales team, the Sales Director France will lead the French sales team and provide key strategic leadership that will shape ongoing growth and expansion.  The Sales Director will act as a commercial leader, as well as create and develop a high-performance business culture and will effectively execute in the market, hands on, commercial strategies and achieve the business objectives.

 

 

About the Role:

 

  • Understanding of the French Medical Device Market, the private and public hospital structure as well and French Buying groups.
  • Create and implement effective sales strategies (especially market segmentation, marketing/branding approach etc.) and lead the sales team in France (and French oversea territories) towards achievement of the corporate objectives and targets.
  • Develop competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales organization.
  • Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.
  • Provide sales management, budget control, compensation programs and incentive planning.
  • Ensure effective hiring, orientation, training, development, and retention of sales staff.
  • Provide supervision through field visits, co-travel, observations, and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews.
  • Working together with the Commercial Sales support organization and rolling out the strategic plan and tactic’s
  • Proactively identify changes in healthcare, delivery systems, and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual business review presentations.
  • Rolling out with the team sales forecast and account mapping forecast
  • Manage to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quota.
  • Partner with the sales team to develop key customer relationship management.
  • Negotiate purchase agreements personally, and with the assistance of sales staff.
  • Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments in Europe and Internationally (like Service, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.  
  • Maintain competitive knowledge about medical technology and especially urology market to create and adjust sales strategies.
  • Attend clinical meetings, seminars, and conferences as appropriate.
  • Build up a network with relevant key opinion leaders in the respective markets.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Degree/diploma in business or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a similar sales director position within a medical device company.
  • Existent KOL network
  • People Management and empathic leader
  • A hands-on, non-bureaucratic leadership style, yet able to delegate and hold staff accountable – demanding of the team, yet fair minded.
  • A team player with excellent people management skills: a motivating and decisive leader
  • Profound knowledge in contract and price negotiations
  • Ability to identify market needs and champion those into viable opportunities.
  • Ability to develop & nurture customer relationships at all levels in an organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English and French is required.
