Who We’re Looking For:

As a key member of the Supply Chain team, the Program Manager – Logistics & Trade Compliance is responsible for analyzing, implementing, and managing global logistic program and trade compliance program focusing on an overall trade compliance for Laborie’s global business needs.  In addition, this role will be focusing on managing a global logistic program to ensure world class logistic services with competitive costs.

 

About the Role:

  • Manage a team of compliance and trade specialists to determine the best business practices for the company to ensure smooth trade across international borders including but not limited to reviewing trade and shipping documents, communicating with the manufacturer of the goods, submitting paperwork for trade licenses and sales agreements, and filing appeals.
  • Oversees the company’s compliance with all international laws and regulations regarding global trade requirements. Expertise is needed in both foreign and domestic trade practices, logistics, and international law.
  • Establish, maintain, and continue to improve the trade compliance program.
  • Manage and maintain business relationships with product carries for both domestic and international shipping needs. Work with other departments to implement logistical improvements in cost savings and service improvements.
  • Establish and maintain the shipping monitoring program to ensure that products move according to the established flow and agreement.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or Business or equivalent work experience. MBA is a plus. 
  • Five to ten years of progressive experience in global Supply Chain, Logistics, Trade (Import/Export), Operations or Procurement in medical device manufacturing or electronic manufacturing industry
  • Well versed with SAP / MRP and DRP Modules
  • Significant supply chain logistics strategy including footprint optimization, trade & tariffs, carrier performance management and total cost of ownership analysis and modelling experience
  • Experience in managing trade compliance and logistics across multiple plants and globally required
