Who We’re Looking For:

As a key member of the Operations team, the Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer will be responsible being a site change agent responsible who drives improvement through all functions. Responsibilities include guiding the team through strategic planning, managing the site continuous improvement plan, providing coaching through hands on execution, and promoting a lean culture by engaging the workforce and ensuring alignment to Laborie strategy.

 

About the Role:

  • Manage and execute site continuous improvement plans
  • Ensure implementation, sustainment, and effectiveness of site MDI tier meetings
  • Facilitate cross functional kaizen events and workshops to drive continuous improvement
  • Execute time studies, workplace organization, value stream mapping, standardized work, cell design, quick changeover, scheduling and material system optimization, total productive maintenance, leader standard work, problem solving, and overall analysis for efficiency opportunities
  • Lead and coach teams to improve results for safety, quality, delivery, cost and engagement
  • Promote lean thinking through training, mentoring, and coaching at all levels of the organization and involving all employees in problem solving to ensure their voice is heard
  • Lead by example by being visible on the floor

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, engineering degree preferred, plus minimum 8 years’ experience implementing lean tools.
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement methodologies within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in utilizing tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and MRP systems.
  • Strong background in supply chain management, production planning, and inventory control.
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capability to collaborate across diverse teams.
