Who We’re Looking For:

As a key member of the R&D Software Team, the Technical Writer will be responsible for producing clear and accurate documentation related to medical devices. This role involves creating design verification protocols, reports, release notes, and various other documents to support the development of software, hardware and firmware components and releases. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the software, hardware, and firmware teams to ensure that all documentation meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

About the Role:

  • Create and maintain documentation related to design verification protocols and reports, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in accordance with industry standards.
  • Develop detailed release notes for software, firmware and hardware updates, including new features, bug fixes, and improvements.
  • Produce clear, concise documentation for medical devices, including detailed design documents, design requirements, technical specifications, and regulatory submissions.
  • Work closely with the software, hardware and firmware teams to gather information, verify technical details, and ensure documentation aligns with product development.
  • Prepare and present reports on documentation progress, quality, and any issues that need addressing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical communication, or a related field preferred. Other relevant degrees or equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Proven experience in technical writing, with a background in creating documentation for software, firmware and hardware. Experience with medical devices is highly preferred. 
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with design verification protocols and experience in documenting both hardware and firmware components.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
