Who We’re Looking For: 
Laborie is seeking a Senior Director, Global Talent Acquisition to architect and lead a world-class, scalable recruiting capability across all regions and business units (Urology, Gastroenterology, and Mother & Child Health). Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this role will define and operationalize the organization’s global talent acquisition strategy, build standardized processes and enabling technologies, and ensure consistent, high-quality hiring outcomes across a complex, regulated environment.
This leader will operate within a Centers of Expertise (COE) model, serving as the global authority on talent acquisition while partnering closely with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and other HR COEs. The mandate is both strategic and operational: this role will both design the system (process, tools, governance) and ensure disciplined execution that delivers speed, quality, diversity, and compliance at scale.  Global sourcing strategies across EMEA and APAC including North America are critical to the success of this role.
About the Role:
Global Talent Acquisition Strategy & COE Leadership
  • Define and execute Laborie’s global talent acquisition strategy aligned to enterprise growth priorities and workforce plans
  • Stand up and lead the Talent Acquisition COE as a centralized, high-impact function serving all regions and business units
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the CPO and Executive Leadership Team on labor market dynamics, talent risks, and hiring strategies
  • Establish global governance, standards, and policies for recruiting across all geographies
  • Implement tools and methodology for facilitating the applicant experience
  • Establish and Maintain recruitment metrics that drive impact towards quality and speed of hiring decisions (i.e., cost per hire, agency spend, time to fill, critical role placements, quality of hire, etc)
  • Partner closely with Talent Management and HRBPs in establishing strategic workforce plans that help drive external hiring vs internal development decisions.  Sourcing strategies must always include internal sources.
Process Design & Operational Excellence
  • Design and implement standardized, end-to-end recruiting processes (requisition intake, sourcing, assessment, selection, offer, onboarding integration)
  • Build scalable operating models that balance global consistency with local market flexibility
  • Drive continuous improvement using lean process methodologies, SLAs, and KPI-based performance management
  • Embed structured, competency-based interviewing and assessment frameworks to improve quality of hire
Technology, Tools & Digital Enablement
  • Select, implement, and optimize global recruiting technologies (ATS, CRM, sourcing platforms, AI-enabled tools)
  • Build a modern recruiting tech stack that enables automation, analytics, and an enhanced candidate experience
  • Partner with HRIS and People Analytics teams to ensure seamless data integration and reporting capabilities
  • Leverage data and digital tools to increase recruiter productivity and reduce time-to-fill
 
Global Sourcing & Talent Pipelines
  • Develop proactive global sourcing strategies for critical roles, including clinical, regulatory, commercial, and technical talent
  • Build and maintain diverse talent pipelines across key markets
  • Establish employer branding and talent marketing strategies to position Laborie competitively in the medical device sector
  • Oversee executive recruiting and critical hiring initiatives
  • Partner with TM and TR to develop and manage a strong employee value proposition
Performance Management & Analytics
  • Define and track key talent acquisition metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, quality of hire, cost per hire, candidate experience, diversity outcomes)
  • Build dashboards and reporting for the CPO and executive team to enable data-driven decision-making
  • Use predictive analytics to anticipate hiring needs and talent gaps
Compliance, Risk & Governance
  • Ensure compliance with global employment laws, hiring regulations, and data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR)
  • Establish consistent documentation, audit readiness, and risk mitigation practices across regions
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance functions to manage hiring risk in a regulated industry
Cross-Functional & COE Collaboration
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to align recruiting strategies with business needs and workforce plans
  • Collaborate with Total Rewards COE to ensure competitive and aligned offer strategies
  • Work with Talent Management and L&D COEs to ensure seamless integration from hiring through onboarding and development
  • Partner with Finance on workforce planning, budgeting, and hiring forecasts
Team Leadership
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global talent acquisition team
  • Establish capability frameworks, training, and career paths for recruiters and TA leaders
  • Drive a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement
 
What you Bring:
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or related) preferred
  • 12–15+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including significant global leadership responsibility
  • Proven experience building or transforming a global recruiting function, including processes, tools, and operating models
  • Experience working in a large ($1B+), global and regulated industry (medical device, healthcare, life sciences required)
Technical & Functional Expertise
  • Deep expertise in global recruiting processes, sourcing strategies, and assessment methodologies
  • Experience implementing and optimizing ATS/CRM platforms and recruiting technologies
  • Strong understanding of global labor markets and talent trends
  • Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging analytics to drive outcomes
Leadership Capabilities

  • Leads the Talent Acquisition COE, providing centralized expertise, standards, and tools globally

  • Direct reporting line to the Chief People Officer, with high visibility and impact at the executive level
