Who We’re Looking For:
As a key member of the Engineering team, the Facilities and Equipment Manager will ensure our medical device manufacturing and distribution sites are safe, compliant, and operating at their best. This role combines strategic leadership with a willingness to roll up your sleeves--championing facility maintenance, production equipment excellence, clean‑room performance, and the critical utilities that keep regulated operations running smoothly. We’re looking for an proactive, solutions‑oriented leader with strong technical expertise—someone who builds strong vendor partnerships, inspires a talented technician team, and takes pride in supporting a reliable, audit‑ready environment.
About the Role:
- Design, create and implement a Facility strategy for the region
- Manage existing building/facilities maintenance through contacting vendors for building issues, electrical, HVAC repair, cleaning services, etc.
- Ability to hire, staff, and discipline a team of manufacturing equipment technicians and facilities associates to support plant activities.
- Technical knowledge required to work in and sustain a clean room environment.
- Working knowledge of USP/Purified water systems, along with external support, on designing, installing, maintaining & troubleshooting systems
- Leads the new facility commissioning & qualification process, including all technical details as well as external services coordination, proposals, bidding & contract awards
- Create & administer facilities Preventative Maintenance program for new facility
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and 5-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably Medical Devices or pharmaceutical Industry
- Familiarity with regulated documentation requirements, ISO standards and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Experience in managing teams and leading by example
- Building Automation Systems, AutoCAD, Microsoft 365 products
- Electrical, pneumatic, and PLC experience a plus
