Who We’re Looking For: 

As a key member of the Commercial Team, the Key Account Manager, DACH will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and expanding Laborie's market presence across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This role oversees the Urology, Gastroenterology, and Maternal & Child Health portfolios and leads the regional Inside Sales team to achieve ambitious business objectives.

 

The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen with healthcare industry expertise and is comfortable working in a highly customer-facing role requiring up to 70% travel across the DACH region.

 

About the Role:

Commercial Leadership

  • Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to achieve sales and profitability targets across the DACH region.
  • Drive market penetration and revenue growth for Laborie's Urology, Gastroenterology, and Maternal & Child Health product portfolios.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing key accounts.
  • Manage complex sales cycles, contract negotiations, and tender processes.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.

Key Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, department heads, procurement teams, and hospital administrators.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnership development.
  • Develop account-specific strategies to maximize product adoption and market share.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for strategic customers across the DACH region.

 Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Inside Sales team to deliver exceptional customer support and achieve sales objectives.
  • Establish performance goals, monitor results, and provide ongoing coaching and development.
  • Foster collaboration between field sales, inside sales, customer service, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

 Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing, Clinical, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams to support business objectives.
  • Support product launches, educational programs, customer training, and industry events.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting through CRM and sales management systems.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable healthcare industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Several years of successful medical device, healthcare, or capital equipment sales experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing strategic accounts within hospital and clinical environments.
  • Previous leadership or people management experience, including coaching and developing sales teams.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Fluent German and English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the DACH region (up to 70%).
