Who We're Looking For: 
As a key member of the R&D team, the Senior Manager of Systems Engineering will play a crucial role in shaping the direction of our customer experience. You will need to develop and teach by ensuring the delivery of high-quality products, through managing customer inputs, system level outputs and user experience. The Senior Manager of Systems Engineering will also build the discipline within Laborie R&D by providing technical support and guidance to team members and outside vendors while managing the creation and maintaining technical documentation such as user materials and risk/system tools.
 
About the Role: 
  • Bring extensive experience in working collaboratively to develop and refine requirements and translate the requirements to efficient testing and design.
  • Work with external vendors to update usability testing and provide feedback into better user interface designs for successful testing.
  • Provide strong leadership to the HW, SW and sustaining R&D teams through building the new Systems Engineering Team development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Set clear goals and expectations and mentor internal and external team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Build and maintain a high-performance team by attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent.
  • Encourage, install and facilitate the clinical/medical understanding of the systems team and manage the development of best practices for Systems Engineering including bringing in new tools as necessary.
  • Ensure proper capacity is achieved to maintain platforms with the PLM leadership.
 
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Systems/Risk Engineering or related field with 5-10 years of proven experience in building and leading high-performance software teams as a Systems Engineer or similar leadership role in medical software/products.
  • Extensive background in SW development, testing, requirements development and SW deployment.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Capable of managing high level usability testing for final system verification and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in cybersecurity best practices and regulations.
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Basic understanding of deep learning concepts
