Who We’re Looking For:

As a key member of the Operations team, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer 

is responsible for maintaining, developing, and implementing new and enhanced manufacturing equipment, processes, and technologies to support operational excellence. This role provides day-to-day manufacturing support through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, line-down response, operator training, process validation, and continuous updates to manufacturing processes for existing medical devices.

Working cross-functionally, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer drives process improvements that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. Leveraging expertise in lean manufacturing principles and medical device production, this individual identifies opportunities for continuous improvement, evaluates and implements innovative solutions, and helps advance manufacturing capabilities to support business growth and operational efficiency.

 

About the Role:

  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, time study, space requirements, soliciting observations from operators, and equipment layout.
  • Design, develop, and improve manufacturing equipment using CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Lead the implementation of new equipment into the manufacturing process.
  • Manage, execute, document, and support the line validation/qualification activities, including IQ, OQ, PQ, MSA, and generation of work instructions and control plans.
  • Participate in Design for Assembly (DFA) / Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities to verify manufacturability of Product Designs

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years’ experience as a Manufacturing/Production Engineer, preferably in Medical Devices with a bachelor’s degree -OR- 6+ years’ experience with a master's degree
  • Lean manufacturing experience with knowledge of lean manufacturing methods and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software, electromechanical design, and other engineering tools
  • Experience with Manufacturing Quality and Product Development

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Black Belt Certification
  • Master’s Degree
  • Knowledge of DFM/DFA
