Who We’re Looking For:  

The Technical Business Analyst (BA) is a key member of the R&D Team, responsible for creating, eliciting, documenting, and maintaining functional software, hardware, and firmware requirements for medical device systems. The Technical BA owns all system requirements for Laborie’s medical device systems  

   

About the Role:  

  • Responsible for working within the SCRUM team with Developers, Product Owners, SMEs and the R&D Software Manager.
  • Facilitate requirement elicitation meetings and providing support to engineers in the creation and implementation of requirements.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of software documentation, release notes, and continuous improvement of the development process and SOPs.
  • Work with Product Owners to ensure traceability of requirements to implementation and official releases.
  • Document and maintaining requirements within the requirements management tool and report requirement metrics and progress to project stakeholders.
  • Maintain high standards of quality by closely following department quality plan and QMS.

   

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • A minimum of 5 years of software requirement analysis/documentation experience and a bachelor's degree. 
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking and analysis skills. Specifically, the ability to drive meetings, ask requirement eliciting questions, and translate the responses into quality requirements.
  • Excellent writing skills to document requirements clearly and consistently.

   

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience working in a regulatory environment (Medical, Nuclear, Aerospace).
  • Experience with IEC 62304, Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and practices.
