KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):

  • Daily reconciliation of all Inventory In-transit and related freight GL accounts
  • Reconcile Intercompany Inventory Transfers and create associated end of month journal entries
  • Responsible for Casegoods Miscellaneous Inventory end of month journal entry
  • Responsible for Upholstery Raw Materials Inventory end of month journal entry
  • Research Casegoods Inventory and PPV account variances
  • Research Upholstery Raw Materials Inventory variances
  • Perform end of month general ledger account reconciliations
  • Prepare Upholstery Cost Model worksheets for new product
  • Create purchase orders in the E1 System as needed
  • Assist with information collection for yearend standard cost roll
  • Assist with the development of AOP depreciation projections
  • Assist with the development of factory admin cost centers AOP expense projections
  • Assists the VP of Finance and Assistant Controller with SOX and Flow Charting when necessary updates are required
  • Travel to Taylorsville, High Point, Granite Falls, and Hudson facilities to assist with physical inventories as needed
  • Assigned special projects and assignments throughout the department

SCOPE & IMPACT: 

This position assists VP of Finance as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 3-5 years of total work-related experience required to effectively perform the key responsibilities of the job
  • ·Proficient in QuickBooks point of sale or other accounting software equivalent
  • Proficient in E1 (JD Edwards) and Spreadsheet Server application
  • Proficient in Excel including vlookups and pivot tables
  • Ability to travel to other La-Z-Boy facilities as needed
