Kymanox is seeking an IT Operations & Applications Administrator to support, maintain, and enhance the technology that powers our business. This role is primarily focused on internal application support and administration of our Microsoft 365, Azure, identity, device, and workplace technology environment.
The successful candidate will support the users, accounts, devices, cloud services, and custom internal applications that keep our workplace operating effectively. The role will manage routine administration, troubleshoot issues, coordinate support, test application changes, and help improve IT processes and documentation.
You will report to IT leadership and collaborate with internal technical resources, business stakeholders, vendors, and managed service providers. We are looking for someone dependable, curious, and detail-oriented who enjoys solving problems, learning new tools, and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues.
Responsibilities:
Internal Application Administration & Support
- Serve as a knowledgeable and approachable point of contact for users of Kymanox’s custom internal applications.
- Manage application user accounts, roles, permissions, and access requests.
- Test new features and updates before release, document results, and report defects clearly to the appropriate technical resource.
- Investigate application-support requests, resolve routine issues, and escalate complex problems with useful technical detail.
- Create and maintain practical how-to guides, support documentation, test cases, release notes, and administrative procedures.
- Gather user feedback and communicate application needs to the appropriate business and technical stakeholders.
Microsoft 365, Azure & IT Operations
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and license management.
- Manage users, groups, roles, and access in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
- Assist with device enrollment, configuration, and policies through Microsoft Intune.
- Support Azure-based Windows servers, cloud resources, and routine configuration activities.
- Perform operational monitoring, review logs, confirm scheduled jobs and integrations complete successfully, and respond to identified issues.
- Resolve Microsoft 365 and general IT helpdesk tickets and escalate issues when additional expertise or vendor assistance is required.
- Support office technology and basic LAN/WLAN operations, including conference rooms, printers, desk phones, and related equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors and managed service providers when outside support is needed.
- Follow and help enforce Kymanox cybersecurity policies, access-control practices, and standard operating procedures.
Educational Background:
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience through professional work, military service, a technical program, bootcamp, or demonstrable projects.
- Relevant industry certification are a plus but are not required.
Experience:
Required
- Approximately 1-4 years of relevant experience across IT operations, application support, Microsoft 365/Azure administration, helpdesk support, or a related technical role. Internships, co-ops, technical programs, and substantial hands-on projects may be considered.
- Foundational knowledge of Windows administration, user and access management, endpoint support, and cloud-based workforce technologies.
- Hands-on administration of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Azure services, or cloud-hosted applications.
- Comfort using a ticketing system or issue tracker to organize, document, prioritize, and communicate support work.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing access, testing changes, documenting work, and supporting production systems.
- Clear written and verbal communication and a genuine customer-service mindset when working with all users at all levels.
- Curiosity, coachability, and the ability to learn unfamiliar applications and technologies quickly.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting LAN/WLAN environments and general office technology.
- Application-support, quality-assurance, or software-testing experience, including writing test cases and reporting defects.
- Familiarity with IT service-management or ticketing systems and basic ITIL practices.
- Awareness of cybersecurity fundamentals related to identity, access, endpoints, applications, and data.
- Experience contributing to the maintenance or enhancement of custom internal applications. Prior software development experience is welcome, but this position is not expected to lead application architecture or design.
- Experience troubleshooting software defects, writing tests, reviewing code, or supporting application reliability, security, and performance.
- Familiarity with web development, REST APIs, modern front-end frameworks, application integrations, SQL, or relational databases.
- Experience creating scripts, workflows, automations, or integrations using PowerShell, Python, Microsoft 365, Azure, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with version control, branching, testing, release management, CI/CD practices, and technical documentation.
- Experience helping test, package, deploy, or monitor application releases.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor, or integrations using large language model APIs.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub Issues, or comparable work-management tools.
- Familiarity with life sciences IT compliance practices, including IT governance, computer systems validation, change control, audit support, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Salesforce CRM administration or support experience, including user access, role-based permissions, workflows, reports, data quality, or integrations.
- A portfolio, GitHub profile, or project examples demonstrating software-development or automation experience.

Travel:
This role is based at our King of Prussia, PA on a hybrid schedule of 2–3 days on-site per week. Up to 5% domestic travel is possible.
Career Development:
The position will evolve over time and more responsibilities may be added. Since Kymanox is a growing company, there are opportunities for advancement both within the currently defined role and in other functions within the organization.
Compensation:
Base salary is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and other intangibles evident during the interview process – as well as market conditions. Eligible for incentive program after 6 months of outstanding work.
