The Senior Specialist, Business Solutions and Marketing will join our Business Solutions and Marketing team and play a key role in supporting both our Sales and our Marketing teams. The Senior Specialist will be primarily tasked with the development of sales proposals and statements of work. You will be working in a cross-functional setting across business development and account management to support the development of sales opportunities and ensuring scope, resourcing, and budget are accurately captured and presented to clients. As a Senior Specialist, you will also be working with the marketing team to support corporate communications, tradeshows, social media, maintain calendars of events, implement changes to marketing templates and collateral, and provide graphics support as needed. As a Senior Specialist, Business Solutions and Marketing, you will also leverage your engineering and/or science background to support client work as a project manager or related role or support sales in developing new leads in your area of expertise.    
     
Responsibilities:    
  • Business Solutions and Proposal Team Support (Assumes 50%: 20 hours/week)
    • Support development of and revisions to proposals, working with cross- functional team leads and sales representatives to ensure scope, budget, and resources align with client expectations and needs.
    • Support maintenance and management of templates and tools for authoring statements of work.
    • Support development of processes and tools for improving efficiencies within the sales team.
    • Support training of new team members and proposal authors on internal processes and systems
  • Marketing Team Support (Assumes 25% to 35%; 10 to 15 hours/week)
    • Support development of marketing materials for use by business development and account management teams.
    • Support development of and maintenance of calendars for events (internal and external), public relations, social media, etc.
    • Support company social media accounts including development of posts and graphics.
    • Support planning, preparation, coordination, and/or representation at tradeshows and conferences.
    • Support development of and review of corporate communications including press releases, technical papers, blogs, etc.
    • Support updates to marketing templates and marketing collateral, as assigned.
  • Additional Support (Assumes 15 to 25%; 5 to 10 hours/week)
    • Support client projects as technical project manager or related role, as need).
    • Support Business Development identify and follow-up on leads in assigned territory or area of expertise.
    • Collaborate internally to help strengthen organizational processes to create and improve delivery efficiencies.

Educational Background:   
  
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or science with coursework or work-related experience in sales, business development, marketing, or communications. Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, PhD) preferred.    
     Experience:    
    • 5 to 7 years of Business Development or Marketing related experience, preferably in the Life Science industry.
    • Experience with CRMs (e.g., Salesforce).
    • Knowledge of Technical Writing and CGMPs and drug/device development.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and development of graphics strongly preferred.
    • Experience with MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) strongly preferred.
     Region:    
        
    Kymanox Corporate HQ in Morrisville, NC preferred. Remote possible.    
        
    Travel:    
        
    Up to 10% travel is possible for support at tradeshows, conferences, and related events. A passport is required for this job.
