Position Summary:
 
Katz, Sapper & Miller (KSM) is seeking a dedicated Audit Operations Technical Resource Group (TRG) Support Coordinator to join our audit and assurance team. This role will provide comprehensive support to the TRG by overseeing project documentation, coordinating resources, managing critical reporting, and maintaining SharePoint systems for our audit operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Prepare, review, and finalize RQR (Report Quality Review) PDFs, drafts, and edits.
  • Serve as the proofreader for non-RQR audit reports to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
  • Monitor the TRG inbox for urgent requests and deadlines, ensuring timely responses to priority items.
  • Conduct expanded administrative reviews on non-disclosure documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Weekly: Track and report engagement hours by pulling data from Practice Engine (PE) and updating the All Engagements spreadsheet.
  • Monthly: Generate RQR evaluation summaries and occasional running statistics on engagements.
  • Coordinate monthly internal inspections by setting up items in SharePoint and scheduling follow-up meetings, including managing overdue items using email templates.
  • Update essential templates, including ELs (Engagement Letters), MRLs (Management Representation Letters), and PPC-based items, to reflect current standards.
  • Manage and roll forward the All Engagements spreadsheet; update issues by April 30 during the busy season.
  • Assist with tracking and launching SEC training in collaboration with Learning & Development (L&D).
  • Prepare and send internal emails communicating new assurance clients.
  • Schedule and coordinate TRG meetings, TRG participation in Audit Group meetings, and TRG visits to other offices.
  • Download AICPA peer review checklists and Disclosure Checklists to SharePoint on a quarterly basis.
  • Track and update the annual conference schedule; complete conference registrations as needed.
  • Maintain and organize SharePoint folders, supporting TRG documents and procedures.
  • Support independence processes, including document formatting and printing.
  • Organize and coordinate quarterly “Technically Speaking” webinars with Marketing and L&D, including tracking Continuing Professional Education (CPE) events and sending reminders.
  • Assist in drafting TRG newsletters and coordinate distribution with the Marketing team.
  • Update Audit Software systems in alignment with standard changes; set up new client financial statement files and draft FS for processing.
  • Participate in audit and assurance process organization and documentation projects.
Requirements/Qualifications: 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and practice management software (such as Practice Engine or Inflo).
  • High proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent proofreading skills and an eye for accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Experience with audit processes, document management, or in a related support role is a plus.
