King & Spalding, a leading global law firm, is currently seeking an Audit Response Coordinator to join our General Counsel’s office. This position can sit in any location in which we have an office and is a hybrid position. This position will assist with the audit response process, including responding to auditor’s requests. The Audit Response Coordinator will work closely with the General Counsel’s office and practice support function, and will report to the Audit Response Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processes audit letter requests, prepares responses, and handles follow-up inquiries in accordance with firm policies.
  • Consults with matter lawyers and the firm’s General Counsel’s office as necessary.
  • Maintains necessary files and database that includes documentation of the request, effective and due dates, acknowledgment to the responsible lawyer, communications regarding the requests and responses, and the final responses.
  • Processes requests for supplemental information and updates to responses.
  • Records time spent preparing responses in accordance with firm policy.
  • Assesses, plans, facilitates, and participates in all training programs and preparation of resource materials required for the preparation of audit responses.
  • Receives additional work assignments from the Associate General Counsel and Audit Response Manager, as needed. 
  • Follows the ethical requirements as set forth by the Rules of Professional Conduct of the state in which employed.
  • Utilizes appropriate technology and software when applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Successful Candidates are detail oriented, efficient and have the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, high volume environment.
  • Candidates should have well-developed proofreading and organizational skills and a strong ability to multi-task.
  •  Strong communications skills across all levels of the firm
Education and Experience:
  • A bachelor’s degree is required. 
  • Law firm or professional services experience preferred, but not required.

Colorado, New York, California:  full-time annualized salary range $55,000 - $80,000. The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
