We are seeking a Business Development Coordinator to provide regional support on pitches and RFPs, events, award submissions, competitive research, material maintenance and creation, cross-sell initiatives, directory and award submissions and other business development and marketing activities as required to support our Frankfurt office. This position will be part of a broader EMEA BD team and often work alongside those team members on ad hob BD projects. 
  
Key Responsibilities:  
  • Marketing Materials – create and maintain marketing materials including fact sheets, brochures, PowerPoint presentations and placemats. 
  • Experience Lists – gather and centralize experience lists for use in pitches, proposals, submissions, and other materials utilizing our firm’s Experience Management System and other source materials.
  • Pitches/RFPs – assist with and, at times lead, pitches, and RFPs; gather relevant materials and oversee final production of electronic and hardcopy deliverables to meet deadlines; maintain pitch/RFP files, log in pitch tracking system, and obtain outcome updates.
  • Directory/Award Submissions – use LexTrack to coordinate and help compile submissions related to legal directories and awards and arrange researcher interviews as applicable.
  • Event Support/Coordination – provide support for K&S-hosted or sponsored events including coordinating development of invitations, other types of content, and event materials with the branding team and the marketing technology team, building invitation lists, monitoring RSVPs, suggesting and project managing follow-up with attendees and invitees.
  • Conference Sponsorships – help identify conferences and sponsorships and provide BD support as appropriate to coordinate related activities.
  • Tracking/Reporting – track BD-related activities and prepare reports for partners and internal meetings.
  • Support Client Targeting – conduct research on clients in advance of meetings or in support of targeting efforts and monitor and track activity utilizing our CRM technology.
  • Lateral Onboarding – assist with lateral onboarding activities including bio-creation and research on targets and opportunities.
Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant law firm marketing experience. 
  • Business development/marketing knowledge and skills gained in a law firm, professional services, or consultancy environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly grasp concepts, trends, and good command of the subject matter.
  • Flexible, proactive, and self-motivated.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work successfully both independently and in conjunction with the marketing team and fee earning stakeholders and business services.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills including the ability to communicate with credibility and diplomacy where required.
  • Due to the highly sensitive nature of many of our matters, the candidate must be able to be discreet and maintain confidentiality.
  • Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint. Microsoft Teams, iManage, Microsoft Dynamics, Interaction, and Vuture experience desirable, but not required. 
  • Language skills: German and English fluent
