Senior Applications Engineer – New Business Intake and Conflicts

King & Spalding, a leading global law firm named by American Lawyer as the Best Law Firm of 2023, is seeking an experienced Information Technology professional who will be a product specialist on the technology supporting our new business intake, conflicts clearance, and other risk management processes. This role will be responsible for working with the Conflicts and IT departments on the design, configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and support of Intapp Intake and Intapp Conflicts, including the migration of the Intapp Conflicts to the Cloud SaaS product, as well as other future software related to the area of risk and compliance. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, and other IT teams to ensure high-quality solutions that meet the firm's needs.  This position requires a blend of technical proficiency combined with innovative solutions to meet the firm’s needs.
 
Key Responsibilities: 
 
  • Act as a product specialist and subject matter expert for Intapp Intake and Intapp Conflicts both on-premise and cloud-based and any other applications supporting the risk and compliance activities of the firm. 
  • Gather requirements and assist with designing a high-quality Intapp Intake workflow solution to meet the firm’s needs.  
  • Provide technical guidance, best practices, and recommendations for the configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and support of InTapp solutions. 
  • Lead the migration of InTapp Conflicts from on-premise to cloud SaaS products, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to the business. 
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and other IT teams to understand the requirements, priorities, and challenges of the new business intake and conflicts clearance processes and technologies. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Intapp solutions, including performance, functionality, security, and data quality. 
  • Oversee the integration of Intapp Intake and Intapp Conflicts with other applications. 
  • Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and knowledge base articles for Intapp solutions. 
  • Provide end-user training and support for Intapp solutions, as well as communication updates, changes, and enhancements. 
  • Monitor and report on the usage, performance, and satisfaction of Intapp solutions, and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and vendor developers. 
  • Serve as the technical SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Intapp products and any other application within scope.  
  • Ability to collaborate with professionals at all levels of the organization.  
  • Developing special reporting capabilities related to Intapp Intake and other possible systems. 
  • Supporting other applications utilized by the Conflicts & Business Review Department or General Counsel’s Office as needed.
 
Qualifications: 
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • 10+ years of experience with technology, development, and systems administration, preferably in a legal or professional services environment. 
  • 2+ years of experience with Intapp solutions for Conflicts and Intake, including configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and support. 
  • Experience with migrating InTapp solutions from on-premise to cloud SaaS products, or similar system migration projects. 
  • Strong understanding of the new matter intake and conflicts resolution business processes and technologies, workflows, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, vendors, and other IT teams. 
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Certification or training in Intapp solutions or cloud technologies is a plus. 
  • Provide support outside of standard business hours as needed.

New York: full-time annualized salary range $132,700 - $199,000. The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  
 
Chicago: full-time annualized salary range $122,000 - $182,500. The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  
 
Denver: full-time annualized salary range $122,000 - $182,500. The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  
 
Sacramento: full-time annualized salary range $122,000 - $182,500. The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  
 
Washington, DC: full-time annualized salary range $127,000 - $190,700. The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  
 
Los Angeles: full-time annualized salary range $127,000 - $190,700. The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  
 
San Francisco: full-time annualized salary range $132,700 - $199,000. The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
