This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in the fastest growing technology field.The GM/Site Director is responsible for overseeing the operations and technical configuration center of ITBV and to deliver IoT Managed Services across the EU/EMEA region. KORE is seeking an experienced operations and business leader to oversee the company’s development.

Responsibilities of this role include:
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction, to direct reports
  • Provide best practices and strategy to operations and back-office support for EMEA, APAC, and other emerging markets
  • Establish and ensure that the KPI’s and performance goals are set and achieved, through the proper execution of performance metrics as it relates to Productivity, Safety, Quality, and Customer Service
  • Analyze anticipated growth of operational needs against capacities to maintain proper procurement, receiving, storage, kitting, and fulfillment capabilities for present and future business
  • Drive operational excellence and best practices across the delivery center. Work with Tech and Operations Manager to develop, review, and update standard operating procedures. Foster a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Ensure standardized policies, procedures, and processes are followed
  • Manage Partner Relationships with external service partners. Main point of contact for VAT and Tax information for EAP region. Continually searching for best-in-class partners to work with
  • Actively engage in strategic and operational guidance for solution selling. Key stakeholder to review and supply feedback regarding all SOWs. Continually evaluate market trends, shop partners and conduct costing exercises to ensure we protect profit margin when structuring professional services
  • Create, maintain, and generate periodic reporting for review by SVP, IoT MS
    • Identify improvement opportunities between ITBV and US HQ in Rochester including workflows and systems.  Provide continuity and direction between the groups
  • Build value proposition that aligns with industry and customer needs
  • Own, manage and drive the business line partnering with other key department stakeholders
  • Ensure that technical & commercial requirements are fully understood, communicated internally, and implemented in the form of profitable new service offerings specific to the target client/market

Skills, Qualifications and Requirements:
  • BA/BS Degree in a technical or business-related field
  • 5+ years of experience managing resources in, operations, supply chain or global logistics
  • Track record of successfully managing teams and interacting with other stakeholders across the company worldwide
  • Knowledge of running a business in Europe, preferably from The Netherlands
  • Experience of EU laws, regulations, and trading practices (for example, VAT, GDPR and CE marking process)
  • Excellent people management skills are required
  • Ability to partner with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure success
  • Dutch and English language required
  • Bachelors in a technical or business-related field, Masters preferred
  • Knowledge of the medical device industry and regulatory environment (e.g., Medical Device Regulation, GDPR etc)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Superb communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sudden setbacks. Willingness to operate in a dynamic environment. Ability to make quick decisions with 80% information
  • Possesses strong leadership skills and takes initiate for knowledge building and sharing; ability to learn quickly
  • Experience establishing and maintaining efficiency within the logistics structure, as well as an in-depth understanding of how the logistics effects solution development and technology
  • Confidence to take risks, negotiate deals, manage expectations, and help create a disciplined process
  • Ability to coach and mentor cross functional employees
  • Advanced systems skills and working knowledge of MS Office, as well as experience working with an ERP system or similar systems (i.e., SAP, Netsuite, GP)
  • Some knowledge of article 23 VAT deferment process would be an advantage
  • General understanding of the IoT marketplace
  • Experience of working within a leader in the technology field an asset
