This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in the fast-growing technology field of IoT in the role of Test Engineer.  The focus of this role is test KORE’s Products both pre and post Product Launch.  This includes KORE’s Connectivity Solutions, Hardware Solutions and Platform Solutions and the interoperability/integration between all three Solutions.  The Test Engineer will play a critical role in assuring the quality of KOREs’ products and will work closely with KORE’s Product Management team, QA Department, Pre-Sales Engineering team as well as other teams across the organization.  

The Test Engineer will be responsible for creating and executing test plans, analyzing the data, and developing comprehensive reports.  The Test Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining KORE’s Atlanta Test Lab Environment and will be exposed to different devices, technologies and solutions that span different verticals throughout the global IoT Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have the drive to learn these different solutions and be able to dive deep into the technical details that make them work.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Work with Product Management and North American Certification and Test Team to develop and execute thorough global test plans for KOREs’ products.
  • Hands on testing of cellular IoT devices including but not limited to Tablets/Handset, Cellular Routers/Gateways and Telematics devices.
  • Build, maintain and organize the European/Netherlands Test Lab.
  • Test and onboard new devices and functionality from KORE’s OEM partners with the KORE Ecosystem.
  • Analyze and correlate test results and build comprehensive reports.
  • Lead calls and present to with internal key stakeholders and leadership on testing status and results.
  • Maintain an organized database of KORE Certified devices.
  • Develop efficient test process and test automation systems.
  • Work closely and collaborate across multiple KORE organizations globally, including Product, Pre-Sales, Support, QA, Network, Certification, and IT to ensure quality solutions and increase customer value.
  • Work directly with KOREs’ customers testing and certifying the customers’ products work with KOREs’ Solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise in IoT and Mobility related technologies, and industry trends. Actively contribute to KORE’s knowledge management systems.

 Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Cellular networks and technologies: 2G/3G, LTE (Cat-M1 and Cat-1+) and/or 5G.
  • Experience with other wireless technologies:  Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Satellite, or LoRa.
  • Experience with test automation and scripting: Python, JavaScript, PHP, etc.
  • Ability to analyze and correlate test results and produce conclusions and recommendations to KORE’s Leadership team.
  • Experience with IP Network protocols and Network Infrastructure
  • Ability to grasp complex technical concepts including standards and specifications from the 3GPP and GSMA.
  • Experience with technical writing including creating technical reports.
  • Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

 Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of 3GPP, GSMA (e.g. SGP 0.22 eUICC specification) and Wireless IoT specifications and standards.
  • Knowledge of testing cellular IoT devices, eSIM/iSIM/eUICC based devices, and/or LPWAN IoT devices incorporating Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LoRa technologies.
  • Experience with IoT device testing, test equipment, writing testing plans, executing test plans,  and working in a test lab.
  • Knowledge of Mobile Device Management Platforms such as Ariwatch, Soti, MaaS 360, Manage Engine, etc.
  • Experience with cloud systems and technologies: AWS and Azure
  • Strong organizational project management, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
