The Network Engineer’s role requires a person who will be working in an internationally distributed team across the KORE organizationPrimary duties will consist of managing KORE’s telco network to provide best in class delivery of various services such as Voice, SMS and Data.

  • Perform customer and carrier facing network problem resolution 
  • Heavily involved in the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of new and existing network infrastructure 
  • Participate in documented standard processes and procedures of infrastructure management including change management, VPN access, project task delivery, failover procedures, disaster recovery plans, etc. 
  • Work closely with the global network and systems engineering teams to deploy and support new hosted network products and services 
  • Administer and maintain regional operator and network performance monitoring systems 
  • Follow and support security strategies and best practices for safeguarding infrastructure resources 
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call network support rotation 
  • Serve as escalation point for Tier2 Support issues requiring network expertise 


  • Higher vocational education level in IT/Engineering related field or demonstrated equivalent experience 
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in supporting and maintaining IP and/or Telco networks 
  • Experience in 3G/4G/5G telecommunications flows 
  • University degree in IT/Engineering 
  • Industry certifications – Linux/Oracle/Cisco/VMware 
  • 3years of hands-on technical experience in M2M, IoT, cellular telecommunications, geolocation services or data networking 
  • Solid technical background with hands on experience in digital telecommunications and ICT 
  • Working with issue management systems (JIRA, Zendesk)  


  • Ability to absorb large amounts of technical knowledge 
  • Clear communication and documentation skills 
  • Microsoft suite (MS wordExcel & Teams) 
  • Unix/Linuxknowledge 
  • Diagnostics and performance checking 
  • Understanding of Protocols: IP networking, Diameter protocol, VoIP / SIP, SS7 Sigtran 
  • Working with Wireshark
  • Bash scripting or equivalent 
  • Familiarity with any of the following nodes: Routers, Switches & Firewalls, HSS, STPs, SMSC, PGW, DRA, Mobile Data
