Are you a Database Administrator? This is an exciting time and a great opportunity to join our IoT company maturing as a valuable and reliable partner in multiple industries. We are looking for a Database Administrator to join our team in Woerden.

As a Database Administrator you play a key role in our implementation and maturation of our Infrastructure as Code buildout for a wide array of data technologies.  That includes automated OS/DB lifecycle management, alerting and automated patching. This will give you the opportunity to explore future trends in data technology and partner with Product Development on future implementations.

  • Work with the application development team to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures 
  • Advanced troubleshooting in coordination with other teams and 3rd parties, query / schema optimizations, fine tuning of back-end databases 
  • Perform advanced system monitoring and preventive maintenance
  • Participate in on-call rotation 
  • Database / Server ownership 
  • Propose database and platform enhancements to avoid issues 
  • Review database changes 
  • Deploy new Virtual Machines according to specifications 
  • Be the bridge between Development and other Operations teams

Skills Required:

  • BSc in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field 
  • Experience writing shell scripts and scripting languages 
  • Experience with Ansible and PowerShell 
  • 3+ years working with a RDBMS at an administrative level 
  • IaC and or CI/CD experience and related tools (Jenkins/Octopus, Gitlab/Bitbucket) a plus 
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL Server
  • Knowledge of Oracle is considered a plus Knowledge of NoSQL, Columnar, Document, Key Value databases a plus 
  • Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows system administration 
  • Knowledge of VMware a plus 
  • Previous telecom knowledge is considered a plus
