Position Overview:

KORE Power, Inc. currently seeking a VP of Government Relations.   This person will be responsible for seeking, analyzing, applying to and winning government loans and grants.  This candidate must have established relationships with government decision makers, associations within the US Military, and at the State and Federal levels.   This person will work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Operations, Engineering and Senior Executive teams to ensure accurate and consistent messaging.  This person will report to the CFO.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create Business Development strategy for the Government and Military markets
  • Track and analyze all government loans and grants to pertain to KORE business, report to KORE leadership with all opportunities
  • Lead all government loan and grant applications
  • Represent KORE Power through various associations and coalitions
  • Work with existing legal and consultative partners of KORE Power
  • Act as the primary representative for State and Federal regulatory processes related to energy storage incentives (ITC, PTC) and all policies that affect the Renewable and Energy Storage industries
  • Qualify leads generated from existing contacts, Marketing campaigns, trade shows and Senior Executive contacts
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, Operations, Engineering and Senior Executive teams to ensure the KORE Power brand and products are properly represented
  • Build and maintain relationships with Government and Military officials
  • Represent KORE Power at trade shows, conferences and industry organizations

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years experience working with the US Government and/or Military, specifically in roles that required achieving results through winning grants and loans
  • Thorough understanding of regulations, legislation, policies, incentives and all inner-workings of the Government and Military, including FERC, ITC, PTC, GSA Schedule, DoE, DoD
  • Extensive contacts and relationships within the Government and US Military
  • Ability to work independently and with teams
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented
  • Superior communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth and ever-changing environment
