Status: Full-Time 
FLSA: Non-exempt (Hourly) 
Location: On-site in Waterbury, Vermont  
Schedule: Monday through Friday; 7:00am-3:30pm

Your Impact 
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for coordinating daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and organizing goods. They ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products while maintaining the security and cleanliness of the warehouse. Additionally, they may assist with inventory management, shipping logistics, and adherence to safety protocols.   
 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities  
Safety and Compliance 
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following established safety procedures and protocols.
  • Report any safety concerns or hazards to the Warehouse Supervisor for immediate action.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials and equipment to prevent workplace accidents.
  • Operate a forklift and other equipment in compliance with safety standards, including safe loading and unloading practices.

Inventory Management and Control

  • Assist with managing inventory levels to ensure alignment with production needs.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counting to maintain accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Support the creation and assignment of new bin locations to optimize warehouse space.
  • Develop and implement best practices to improve inventory handling, quality, and reliability.

Receiving and Shipping Operations

  • Receive and inspect inbound material shipments, ensuring accuracy and assigning materials to inventory or active builds.
  • Prepare and load outbound shipments, ensuring that all items are packed, labeled, and shipped correctly.
  • Accurately count and confirm incoming and outgoing shipments to maintain record integrity.
  • Receive truckloads with a forklift as needed, ensuring timely unloading and storage.

Order Fulfillment and Material Handling

  • Assist with picking parts for Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Work Orders to meet production requirements.
  • Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse and for loading and unloading purposes.
  • Support the accurate handling of inventory during shipment preparation, storage, and order fulfillment processes.
 
 
Qualifications 
Experience: Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required.  Experience operating a forklift is preferred but not required.  Experience with mechanical or electrical equipment and production workflow is helpful.  ERP system experience is a plus.
Skills:  Proficiency in using computers; ability to learn new systems quickly.  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.  Effective and clear communication abilities.  Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and a strong team player.
Education:  High school diploma or equivalent.
  
Work Environment  

Physical Activity and Equipment Operation

  • Primarily on feet for extended periods, handling and moving materials.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more).
  • Operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.

Environmental Conditions

  • Large, open spaces that may be climate-controlled or subject to varying temperatures.
  • Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels, especially when near machinery.

Safety and Protective Gear

  • Required to wear safety gear, including steel-toed boots, gloves, and high-visibility vests.
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe workplace.

Pace and Work Structure

  • Fast-paced, industrial warehouse setting with tight deadlines.
  • Task-focused work environment with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
