Based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, KORE Power is a leading developer of high density, high voltage energy storage solutions for utility, industrial and mission-critical markets.

KORE Power designs and manufactures the industry-leading, battery energy storage systems. Developed to lower installation and operation costs with higher efficiency, the KORE Power batteries include proprietary lithium-ion cells and modules, with innovative safety features, managed and optimized by the BMS.

KORE Power serves the growing demand for applications such as replacing fossil fuel peaker plants, wind and solar plus storage projects, Microgrid optimization, behind-the-meter C&I, mining energy solutions and the Military.

Job Responsibilities

  • End-to-End responsibility for the company's R&D vision, performance, and deliverables.
  • Defining the R&D team growth plan, required skills, culture, and strategy.
  • Managing, coaching, and mentoring all developers.
  • Assimilating lean startup development methods, Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Integral member of the company’s management team.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in leading and scaling R&D teams, in startup environments.
  • Master’s degree in engineering or science required; PHD preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of science, engineering principles and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Requirements  

  • Sitting for extended periods is common
  • No heavy lifting is expected.
  • Good manual dexterity is required for the use of computers, mobile devices, and other productivity technologies.
