Your Impact

As a member of KORE Solution’s senior leadership team, the Senior Manager of Supply Chain & Logistics will offer data-driven recommendations and innovative solutions to shape strategic initiatives by enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and supporting growth. This role will spearhead the purchasing process while also providing guidance on sourcing and procurement.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

 

Leadership & Management:

  • Provide mentorship and leadership to the Procurement and Logistics Team, fostering a collaborative team that is in alignment with KORE’s mission, vision and values.
  • Create and uphold effective controls and feedback systems to monitor the team’s operations.
  • Identify and promote professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Set annual goals with team members, complete meaningful and timely check-ins and performance reviews. When necessary, work with Human Resources to address concerns and take appropriate disciplinary action.
  • As needed, partner with Human Resources to recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new employees.
  • Maintain an understanding of personnel-related laws and regulations, as well as the appropriate level of knowledge around KORE’s policies and practices needed to compliantly manage a team.
  • Monitor work schedules including vacation time and sick time. Ensure employee timesheets are accurate, approved in a timely manner and adhere to internal policy as well as wage and hour laws. 
  • Accurately review and approve team expense reports in a timely manner.

Strategy

  • Continue developing brand image and reliability.
  • Assist in the management of the ERP system to ensure order schedule accuracy, proper inventory levels, and correct order procedures.
  • Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
  • Develop strategies to engage with diverse suppliers and foster an inclusive supply chain environment.

 

Risk Management

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety standards across the company.
  • Uphold and govern suppliers’ code of conduct and ensure conformance to responsible sourcing practices to ensure an ethical supply chain.

 

Operational Management

  • Participate and lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Develop and generate regular MRP reports on key performance indicators.
  • Analyze domestic and international shipping forecasts to achieve optimal inventory levels.
  • Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.

 

Cost Optimization

  • Lead negotiating and sourcing discussions with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Work directly with Sales Department to determine most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods transportation to customers.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Monitor supply base performance as related to delivery and quality and works with the supply base to resolve issues.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Review existing and develop new contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.

Innovation and Technology

  • Provide a high level of support it as it relates to further development of KORE’s ERP System. Additionally, serve as a primary member of the team responsible for building out the MRP process within Oracle.

Qualifications

The candidate should be an experienced procurement specialist. The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business or similar field.
  • Proven experience managing supply chain operations.
  • 7-10 years of Supply Chain Experience with 3-5 of leadership experience in Supply Chain.
  • Management and leadership skills as well as experience training employees
  • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiating terms.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or APICS Supply Chain Certification
  • Purchasing experience in the Utilities market (medium to high voltage transmission, substation construction and/or solar)
  • Proficient in ERP systems such as Oracle
  • Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including Parts & Vendors MRP system.

Work Environment

  • Must be able to maintain fast pace while completing complex work in potentially stressful situations with competing priorities within tight timelines and with frequent interruptions.
  • The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional office setting.
  • Extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer.
  • Ability to occasionally lift 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to travel periodically to other KORE locations and for training. Occasional travel to customer project sites.
