Position Overview

KORE Solutions is currently seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance to our staff. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active software, hardware, and network equipment in order to ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems.


Essential Functions
and Responsibilities

  • Provide end-user assistance for both in-office and remote employees.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems, both software and hardware.
  • Set up new employee equipment.
  • Train new employees on essential IT policy and procedure.
  • Track inventory.
  • Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade hardware and software systems.
  • Support and administer third-party applications.
  • Monitor system performance and address or report deficiencies.
  • Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
  • Manage disaster recovery and back-ups.
  • Participate in on-call duties (after hours) for planned maintenance windows and urgent escalations as needed.


Reports To

The position reports to the Network Administrator at KORE Power.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, related field, or relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years experience in a technical support role.
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of Windows environments.
  • Ability to set up and configure any type of end-user IT hardware.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies. 
  • Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking.    
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Microsoft, Cisco, or related IT certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements 

  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges, with or without corrective lenses or an assisted hearing device.
  • Using computers, mobile devices, and other technologies require good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Activities require the ability to remain in a stationary position most of the time and occasionally move about inside the office.
  • Some heavy lifting is expected; occasional exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force may be required.
