Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a firm understanding of information technology systems and their applications and will be able to provide support and maintenance for all aspects of our IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

        Design, implement, and maintain IT systems, including hardware, software, and networking equipment.

        Monitor and analyze system performance to identify and resolve issues.

        Maintain and test backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.

        Manage security protocols to protect against threats and unauthorized access.

        Develop and maintain documentation of IT systems and processes.

        Provide end-user support for hardware, software, and network issues.

        Collaborate with other IT professionals to troubleshoot complex issues and develop innovative solutions.

         Research and evaluate emerging technologies to improve IT infrastructure and operations.

 

Requirements:

       Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

         Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration.

         Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware and software systems, and cybersecurity best practices.

         Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud computing.

         Experience with project management and budgeting.

         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

         Relevant certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements

 

  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges, with or without corrective lenses or an assisted hearing device.
  • Using computers, mobile devices, and other technologies requires good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Activities require the ability to remain in a stationary position most of the time and occasionally move about inside the office.
  • Some heavy lifting is expected; occasional exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force may be required.
