Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Assist management with receiving red tags from drivers, processing work orders and assigning jobs to mechanics. Track and coordinate farmed out equipment with outside vendors. Assist with inventory parts control.
- Process work orders.
- Communicate with Safety/Service Providers about work order write-ups.
- Coordinate with Driver Services and Customer Service regarding equipment in shop (time estimates, etc.).
- Plan daily work load (repair orders/assign jobs) and coordinate with Shop Supervisor regarding work loads.
- Inspect all repair orders for info on warranty repairs and make sure all repairs are put under the proper reason code,
- Coordinate as required with the warranty department to ensure sure all units outsourced for repair are under warranty.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and adhere to standard internal control procedures.
- Adhere to standard internal control procedures.
- Purchase parts and supplies through the use of Fleet Assist auto-generated and approved low-cost provider procedures.
- Maintain and update auto-generated parts procedures as necessary.
- Monitor and handle parts returns; review warranty tags, store and organize returned parts accordingly and conduct follow up to ensure returned parts are handled appropriately.
- Collaborate with internal department personnel and outside shippers/vendors as necessary.
- Recognize shortages, overages and pricing discrepancies; communicate with appropriate management to facilitate problem resolution and correction of parts ordering.
- Work with the Parts department and make sure all parts are ordered for units needing repair.
- Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.
Qualifications: What you need to bring
- 1+ year related experience required.
- Previous experience in heavy equipment environment preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be familiar with mechanics of DOT approved equipment.
- Must possess exceptional customer service skills.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and well organized.
- Must possess basic understanding of MS Office Suite.
Pay Range: $17 - $23 Hourly
