Job Description Summary

The Manufacturing Engineering Support Technician will support engineers in reviewing the manufacturing process to create and implement documents assisting and improving the production metrics. They will work individually and with cross functional teams to help drive successful projects to completion, solve problems, and implement lean manufacturing concepts. The Manufacturing Engineering Support Technician reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

The duties and responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineering Support Technician will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Create and maintain the following documentation:
    • Standard work
    • Balanced work charts
    • Process flow charts
    • Process sheets
    • Visual aids
    • Equipment capacity and utilization charts
    • Perform cycle time studies
  • Assist with equipment layout designs for line improvements
  • Assist in maintaining the manufacturing work instructions, bills of material, and routings
  • Prepare clear, concise, and organized materials for communication and training of operators
  • Create equipment operations documents
  • Understand, collect, and document equipment OEE
  • Assist with the leading of Kaizen events
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Work Experience: 1 year of demonstrated work experience with hands on exposure and knowledge of manufacturing operations
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Computer Skills: Prior experience working with ERP/Manufacturing systems, SharePoint, and Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Organization Skills: Highly motivated with strong attention to detail; Ability to efficiently multi-task and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to work with a cross-functional group; and provide excellent internal and external customer service
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; strong interpersonal skills
