Job Description Summary

 

Production Operator I will run various machines at optimal level with some complexities, ability to troubleshoot machine, conduct changeovers, and respond quickly to any machine faults in both automated and non-automated cells.  This position reports to the Zone Leader.

 

The duties and responsibilities of a Production Operator I will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for achieving rate and meeting targets
  • Load, hand, position, unload, and manipulate parts
  • Conduct changeovers and setups as a team
  • Perform all quality functions and checks as required
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Perform all shop order functions, packing instructions and labeling requirements
  • Respond to machine faults and downtime, and accurately track on data collection sheets
  • Perform all quality functions and checks as required
  • Keep a clean and organized work area
  • Inspect parts and machinery for errors
  • Work cooperatively and cohesively with team members, and escalate to Zone Leader any inappropriate conduct or language
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Work Experience: Entry Level
  • Education: N/A
  • Computer Skills: Ability to learn and make transactions in an ERP system like Oracle
  • Organization Skills: Ability to efficiently work in a high paced environment
  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to work with other team members on the production floor, Able to run multiple jobs in more than one department
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and effectively, Ability to problem-solve
