Unity UI Implementer/Designer

Our new mobile game is expanding its UI team.  You will be transforming PSD mockups into pixel perfect screens that incorporate animation and polished. You will be using Unity (UGUI) to make this magic happen. Having the ability to decipher and implement from strict guidelines is a must along with working in a collaborative environment.

What you get to do everyday:

  • You will partner with our Lead UI Designer and with engineering to implement and iterate on the game UI
  • You will create pixel perfect Unity UI screens based on existing Photoshop mockups, pre-viz and/or prototypes.
  • You will create assets from existing Photoshop documents, Integrate assets into Unity, create screen layouts and prefabs for multi-resolution mobile devices
  • Work to create tools and improve the UI pipeline within Unity.
  • Work directly with engineers to author functionality and transition/animation polish
  • Work independently to implement assets for finished prefabs
  • Work independently to implement finished prefabs to the game

What you bring to the role:

  • Experience with implementing UI within the Unity Game Engine
  • Solid C#, animation, VFX, and artistic skills
  • Great ability to work from mockups based on strict design guideline
  • Good understanding of UI and usability principles.
  • Understand the graphic capacities of the current mobile market.
  • Aware of current trends in mobile and game UI designs
  • Expert ability to communicate your ideas verbally and on a white-board
  • Expert ability to communicate your ideas visually using Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or After Effects
  • Ability to iterate quickly
  • Knowledge of optimizing real-time 3D-graphics pipeline for mobile platforms
  • Confidence communicating with engineering teams
