Youth Inpatient Mental Health Professional (Part-time: Friday - Sunday)  
$1500 hiring bonus available 
Hiring Range: $32.53/hr. - $40.67/hr.
  
  
General Summary of Duties:  The Child Mental Health Professional serves as a member of the multidisciplinary team which collaborates to meet the treatment needs of adolescents in the acute care setting of the YIU. They will demonstrate the clinical skill and experience necessary to plan, develop, coordinate, and provide individual, family and group therapeutic treatment.   

We are seeking a dynamic mental health professional who is passionate about providing therapeutic services to adolescents presenting with acute behavioral health needs.  This position will provide key clinical and therapeutic support for 24 hours per week.
 
  
Primary Responsibilities:  
  • Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team to help develop and implement meaningful treatment plans for adolescent clients in acute care setting.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy services. 
  • Complete screenings, assessments, intakes, and discharges; arrange after-care services for clients.
  • Complete all required documentation for assigned clients promptly.  Develop cooperative relationships with those collateral contacts to assist in developing effective individualized treatment, including the nurse, Psychiatrist/ARNP, family members, etc.
  • Collaborate with schools, medical professionals, case workers, probation officers, and other community resources to ensure continuity of care.
  • Develop discharge plans for voluntary and involuntary clients, including arrangement and documentation of 7-day follow-up appointments.
Minimum Qualifications:  
EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field or must meet waiver criteria of RCW 71.24.260.  
EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum of 2 years of job-related experience)  
Two years of documented, supervised clinical experience serving youth with mental health and/or co-occurring behavioral health disorders.   
LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration (can be obtained after hire). Must meet and maintain the definition of a Mental Health Professional as defined in WAC 388-877-0500.   

Preferred Qualifications:
  
Experience providing treatment services within youth crisis residential or youth inpatient setting.  
Experience facilitating therapeutic groups.
