Screener And Outreach Engagement Specialist – Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe) 

Hiring Range: $24.94 - $30.55 Per Hour 

Includes Additional $2.00/Hour WISe Differential!

Are you passionate about supporting youth and families in accessing mental health care? Join our team at Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) as a WISe Screener, where you'll play a crucial role in connecting individuals with the care they need. As a WISe Screener, you will be responsible for assessing Medicaid eligible youth and families to determine if they qualify for Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe), providing education about WISe, and collaborating with community partners to facilitate access to mental health resources. 


Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for WISe service referrals, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Verify Medicaid eligibility for all youth and families interested in WISe services.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments using the Child Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) screening tools.
  • Support WISe coordinators as needed with CANS assessments or CFT facilitation.
  • Engage in community outreach efforts to promote awareness of WISe services and facilitate referrals.
  • Provide families with detailed information about WISe and its benefits compared to other available programs.
  • Assist families in navigating the mental health care system, connecting them with appropriate resources.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including schools, courts, and hospitals, to streamline the referral process.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all interactions and assessments in the agency's electronic health record.
  • Stay informed about WISe implementation, service changes, and policy updates.
  • Coordinate with assigned WISe team members to ensure seamless transitions for clients receiving WISe services.

  

  

Minimum Qualifications:  

Schedule: Ability to work Monday-Friday 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field. 

Experience: One+ year relevant working experience with youth and families experiencing severe and persistent mental health, socioeconomic, and substance use related needs 

Licensure: Agency Affiliated Counselor (can be obtained after hire) 

Certification: Child Adolescent Needs and Strengths B-5 and 6-20 (can be obtained after hire) 

This position requires driving a personal vehicle on the agency’s behalf; therefore, the incumbent must have a valid driver’s license in the state of Washington and have reliable, insured transportation 

  

Preferred Qualifications: 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field. 

Experience: Two+ years relevant working experience with youth and families experiencing severe and persistent mental health, socioeconomic, and substance use related needs 

Language: Speech and written fluency in English and Spanish
