Hiring Range: $106,849.60 - $136,219.20 Per Year  

$7,500 Sign-On Bonus*

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) seeks an experienced and dynamic leader to join our team as the Director of Inpatient Services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide administrative and clinical direction to our Adult Inpatient and Youth Inpatient Units, ensuring our clients’ highest quality of care. Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Provide clinical and operational leadership to inpatient units to ensure quality service delivery and optimize programmatic goals.
  • Collaborate with Directors to ensure coordination and continuity of care for KMHS clients and ensure a smooth transition of clients between services.
  • Recruit, hire, and develop qualified staff, providing consistent direction and supervision to supervisees.
  • Establish yearly goals for each program and ensure contract compliance.
  • Develop and monitor program budgets, maximize fee collection, and maintain meaningful IS data.
  • Ensure adequate psychiatric consultation and clinical coverage for respective programs.
  • Implement the administrative and clinical policies of KMHS.
  • Identify client and community needs and assist in enhancing and developing services to address identified needs.
  • Represent KMHS in the community and liaise with other social service/community agencies.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of county/regional plans and assure that programs operate in compliance with such plans and all appropriate statutes and regulations.

   

   

Minimum Qualifications:   

EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or Behavioral Health.  

   

EXPERIENCE: Expert (established subject matter expert, 7+ years of experience)  

Five successful years of supervisory/administrative experience. Community mental health experience and budget management experience.  

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: Meet qualifications of Mental Health Professional.  Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.  

   

Preferred Qualifications:  

EXPERIENCE: Experience providing and/or overseeing behavioral health services to youth.  

Experience providing and/or overseeing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders services.  

LICENSURE: Washington License (LICSW, LMFT or LMHC).
