Manufacturing Engineering Technician
Description
Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Manufacturing Engineering Technician on 2nd or 3rd shift who will be working in our St. Marys, PA location. This person will report to the Supervisor of Manufacturing Engineering.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide hands on training to the Die Setter Trainees.
- Involved in the product development as defined below.
Establish and target processing parameters.
Product design suggestions.
Tool design suggestions.
Program interfaces, i.e., understanding of testing requirements results.
Continuous scrap reduction.
- Involved in equipment development as defined below.
Involved in machine start-up.
Initial trouble shooting.
Evaluate machine performance.
Design suggestions.
- Involved in various engineering/technical issued on existing product.
- Perform setup of Molding and Sizing presses for samples as well as for Production parts as needed
- Provides technical advice during quoting process.
- Troubleshooting on existing product and equipment.
- Adjust process control parameters to achieve a more robust process.
Qualifications
- Extensive working knowledge of the powdered metal process.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
