Primary Operator
Description
Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Primary Operator who will be working in our St. Marys, PA location on our 3x3 Schedule on night shift, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. This person will report to the Manager of Primary Operations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- To efficiently and safely operate equipment, including the making of satisfactory adjustments to ensure product quality.
- To know and follow procedures applicable to this job classification.
- Legibly record and maintain applicable product/process information.
- Effectively utilize measuring equipment and information obtained from its use to ensure continuation of control conditions.
- Provide active input to continuous process improvement.
- Effectively communicate job related information to co-workers, supervisors, service areas and others with a need to know.
- Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas.
- Provide assistance in writing new or revising old procedures.
- Participate in the training of others and aid in their appraisal.
- Perform other tasks as requested.
Qualifications
- Able to read and understand procedures, process sheets, etc.
- Able to do basic math calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
- Understand decimals, fractions, percentages, averages, etc.
- Able to write legible sentences.
Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
