Role Description

Kal Tire is looking to hire a Manager, Digital Solutions. Reporting to the CIO, the Manager, Digital Solutions leads a high-performance team using Scrum-based agile methods in the design, development, and support of business technology solutions used by Kal Tire’s customers and team members. The Manager, Digital Solutions and their team works closely with a highly engaged group of business Product Owners and their teams to collaboratively define product strategy and roadmaps, understand priorities, groom product backlogs and design, build and deliver business value for Kal Tire. The Manager, Digital Solutions is responsible for a growing Cloud-based technology portfolio that includes Kal Tire’s eCommerce, digital marketing, customer relationship management, mobile fleet service and contact center technology solutions amongst others. The Manager, Digital Solutions works and collaborates with stakeholders at all levels across Kal Tire’s business and technology teams and manages multiple complex relationships with technology vendors and service providers.

While we are currently a hybrid working environment, if you do not live in Vernon and are the right candidate for this role, we are open to structuring the position as a fully remote work arrangement if that is preferable, but you must be willing to travel to Vernon 1-2 weeks in a month. 


• Leads, manages, and coaches a diverse, cross-functional team of technology professionals in the pursuit of delivering business value for Kal Tire through technology.
• Understands business goals and priorities and leads and takes part in the development and communication of business and technology roadmaps for the product portfolio.
• Manages, supports, and runs the technology portfolio in a manner that ensures Kal Tire has a secure, reliable, and future-proof technology capability that meets the company’s business and technology goals.
• Manages the relationships, service levels and contracts with a variety of technology vendors and service providers to ensure delivery of new capabilities, effective operations, and prompt resolution of issues.
• Works with other Information Services technology teams and stakeholders to ensure coherence and alignment with the company’s overall technology strategy, direction and priorities. 

Work Experience

• At least 15 years’ experience working in or with large enterprises with complex, mission-critical technology needs.
• At least 8 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams of technology professionals.
• At least 5 years’ experience working with enterprise Cloud-based, PaaS and SaaS technology solutions including the integration of those solutions.
• At least 2 years’ experience effectively leading teams using agile frameworks like Scrum to deliver business value.

• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent post-secondary education) in computer science, information technology or related discipline.

Additional Skills and Experience considered an Asset

• Retail industry experience
• eCommerce or digital marketing experience
• Experience working at service organizations

Special Requirements

• Occasional travel in North America
• Occasional evening and weekend work
