Role Description  

The Inside Sales, Regional Sales Coordinator (ISR RSC) role is responsible for supporting strategic accounts owned by Regional Account Managers (RAM) and Regional Business Development (RBD) teams. In this role, you will provide sales and customer service support to each account with the goal of ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenue.   
Success in the role will depend on successful collaboration and alignment with the various stakeholders at the commercial service and store locations in the region. Must ensure that Kal Tire’s internal teams understand the customer’s needs, are living up to client commitments, delivering ongoing value and behaving in ways that align with the Kal Tire AIMS.   
 

Responsibilities  

Sales and Customer Support related tasks  

  • Working with current customer accounts to provide a secondary layer of assistance and support as required and identified by the Regional Sales Team (RAM’s and RBD’s). Includes communicating product recommendations, pricing and availability to the sales team and/or directly to the customer.  
  • Liaising with stores and internal departments to set up work orders, ensure proper product is ordered and they are completed within the customer’s expectations.
  • Assisting with new customer onboarding including: 
  • Acting as a sales support and secondary contact for the customer.
  • Assist in administering their new account or sub-account setup is correct.
  • Ensure service guide is completed/updated and adhered to.
  • Prepares and analyzes reports indicating how Kal Tire is helping clients to be more efficient; ensures reports are provided in a timely manner.
  • Along with the credit department, handles billing inquiries and ensures billing is accurate. 
  • Address any customer service related issues that the customer might have with Kal Tire. 
  • Communicates to stores on an ongoing basis about issues related to key accounts (customer needs, billing, consistent service standards across various locations etc).
  • Maintains awareness of competitors’ sales activities within accounts and develop strategies to maximize sales and overcome threats.
  • Stay on top of client’s growth plans and market trends; ensures Kal Tire is responding to client’s changing needs and changing market conditions.

Business Development  

  • Assisting in new business development sales calls and prospecting.  Working with the RAM’s and RBD’s, will provide additional sales support through phone and email to foster net new business.
  • Explore and qualify for sales opportunities within existing store house accounts and pursue new business and Kal Tire programs with those customers. Look to develop and act on sales strategies pertinent to their business to further deepen Kal Tire’s relationship with customers.
  • Continuously prospects and uncover new business within the assigned accounts.

Sales Collaboration  

  • Participate in recurring regional sales meetings, inside sales team meetings and one on one meetings with RAM’s and RBD’s as needed. 
    Shares information related to market trends, supplier activities.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with all Kal Tire internal staff including Store Managers, Retread Managers, Salespeople, Zone Managers and Senior Zone Managers to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Participates in making joint sales calls when required (possibly to be onsite).
  • Communicates with sales administration team, stores and other team members about how to accurate invoice customers; ensures that price lists, mandatories and all customer information requirements are current.

 

Job Requirements  

  • At least 2 years’ experience working at Kal Tire, or at least 2 years inside sales or field sales experience in related B2B industry.
  • Post graduate diploma or degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

 

Special Requirements  

  • Preferred experience in commercial automotive industry.
  • Additional language would be ideal.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Travel within Canada or to the US will be required based on business needs (3-4 trips per year estimated).
