Role Details 

The Infrastructure Technology Co-op will be joining the Technical Support Team report to the Team Lead, End User Computing. 

The position is 4 months in length with possible extension(s). 

The Technical Support team supports all the end-user computing technology including workstations, mobile and telephony devices, Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10 operating system, client software packages.  The team also supports the configuration management and MDM platforms to support the devices, automate deployments, auditing and enforce software compliance. 

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Respond to team members incident and service requests. 
  • Deployment and replacement of workstations. 
  • Enroll and support mobile devices in Microsoft Intune. 
  • Assist with various Active Directory cleanup tasks. 
  • Support VoIP Telephony and Video Conferencing Equipment. 
  • Participate in small lifecycle projects related to refreshing and modernize the client computing environment. 

Other Responsibilities 

  • Provision Infrastructure equipment (routers, switches, servers, telephony). 
  • Other duties as required. 

 Experience

 Required Skills 

  • Computer hardware, networking and software installation and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Windows 10, smartphones, MS Office Suite
  • Customer Support experience 

Other Beneficial Skills

  • Scripting/programing experience
  • SCCM/ConfigMgr and Intune 
  • VDI Solutions
  • Routers, Switches, and Windows Server hands-on experience 

Education 

Students must provide written verification from their post-secondary institution confirming they are registered and actively participating in a recognized Cooperative Education program.
