Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman)

As an Automotive Service Technician, you'll perform a wide range of mechanical services, diagnostics, and repairs on passenger and light truck vehicles. You'll work alongside a skilled team, support apprentice development, and play an important role in delivering safe, reliable service to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of passenger and light truck vehicles
  • Complete brake, suspension, steering, and mechanical repair work to a high standard
  • Diagnose mechanical concerns and recommend appropriate repair solutions
  • Mentor and support apprentices, helping develop their technical skills and confidence
  • Work closely with service advisors and team members to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Identify additional service opportunities that support vehicle safety and performance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and quality standards

Requirements

  • Journeyperson/Journeyman Automotive Service Technician certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Minimum 3 years of experience performing diagnostics, inspections, repairs, and maintenance
  • Strong experience with brakes, suspension, steering, and wheel alignments
  • Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to mentor apprentices and contribute positively to the team
  • Safety-focused with a professional and customer-oriented approach
