Role Details
 
The Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting, improving and developing the roadmap for configuration management tooling to efficiently manage a large fleet of team member facing devices. This is achieved by working with team members, vendors and suppliers to implement systems that automate operating system and applications deployment, enforce policies and security standards.  The Systems Administrator also participates in Tier 3 operations, troubleshooting complex team member device and software related issues.
 
Core Responsibilities
  • Manage, support, monitor, and maintain a Windows 10 /11 Microsoft Endpoint environment. 
  • Participate in incident, problem, configuration, change management activities. 
  • Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of Windows OS images and applications deployment.   
  • Research, Design and deploy new systems, applications and/or enhancements to improve client operation system imaging and application deployment processes.  
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in supporting and managing Windows 10/11 and iOS Devices with Microsoft Intune. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and advanced experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager including Task Sequences, Application Packaging, etc.   
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in supporting and configuring Microsoft 365 (Teams, Apps for Enterprise, Outlook).  
  • Proven experience with Active Directory, user and computer and group policy management, and PowerShell scripting. 
  • Lead projects including defining project requirements, project plan, task lists, milestones and phases.
  • Maintain clear and detailed documentation for all core responsibilities and associated technologies. 
  • Participate in the commissioning of the technology infrastructure for corporate office location and new operational locations for stores, warehouses and retread plants. 
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with vendors and service providers. 
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members. 
  • Knowledge of VoIP systems, VDI, Networking and Windows Server would be considered an asset. 
Work Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Systems Administrator role with a focus on configuration management tools.

Education

  • Post-secondary graduate with a degree, diploma or certificate in computer science or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Special Requirements
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Ability to participate in on-call after hours support rotation
  • Evening and occasional weekend work will be required
  • Must have valid Drivers license.
