Kal Tire is looking for an experienced OTR Tire Technician/Commercial Service Technician to join our Ottawa Commercial Store team. In this role, you will inspect, repair, and replace OTR tires on a wide range of equipment, as well as service commercial truck and trailer tires. You'll work on everything from compact loaders and transport vehicles to some of the largest heavy-duty and industrial machines. Your schedule will be On-Call Rotation shifts (includes nights and weekends).

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, maintenance, repairs, and replacements of OTR tires on mining, construction, industrial, and heavy-duty equipment.
• Perform tire mounting, dismounting, and wheel assembly services for OTR applications.
• Provide on-site fleet service, roadside assistance, and emergency field support as required.
• Operate service trucks, tire handling equipment, and specialized OTR tools safely and efficiently.
• Interact with customers professionally, addressing concerns and recommending appropriate tire solutions.
• Communicate clearly regarding services performed, inspection findings, and maintenance recommendations.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with company and customer site safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s Licence (DZ licence is considered an asset).
• Experience in commercial tire service, OTR tire service, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to inspect, diagnose, and service OTR tires and wheel assemblies safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tire services.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing demanding manual labour.
• Safety-focused and committed to following PPE and safe work procedures.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and job site conditions.
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency roadside or after-hours service calls when required.
