Role Description

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM), the Regional Account Manager sells Kal Tire Service Solutions to existing customers in order to grow a book of business in their designated territory. Utilizing their extensive sales background, they have unrestricted opportunity to grow in the role based on their achievement of mutually agreed to targets and objectives. The Account Manager will provide expert guidance to the selling teams they lead, and will act as a strategic partner and advisor on all Kal Tire offerings. Central to this role is the ability to foster mutually beneficial relationships with their clients aligning to the first Aim of Kal Tire.

 

Responsibilities

Sales & Account Management

  • Focuses on regional customers to maintain and grow the sales portfolio for the region.
  • Works both independently and collaboratively as part of various teams within the assigned geographic portfolio, the role will expand customer share of spend through program implementation and expand customer contacts to maintain customer relations long term.
  • Utilizes existing Kal Tire programs to expand new sales opportunities.
  • Collaborates with the RSM and the RD to align market strategies with applicable business objectives for the portfolio.
  • Works collaboratively with various internal stakeholders (Corporate Sales, Purchasing Administration, etc.) to ensure timely achievement of objectives and targets for the portfolio.
  • Utilizes performance tracking, various reports, presentations, and other documents as required to differentiate Kal Tire as a supplier.

Reporting/Metrics

  • Collates and maintains client information in the CRM database to ensure current account information and insights.
  • Records and tracks all metrics related to sales strategies; reviews and develops client service and retention plans.
  • Analyzes sales data to inform and/or update portfolio strategies.

Professional Development/Networking

  • Acts as a trusted advisor and Kal Tire ambassador to clients, internal partners, and the overall regional network; demonstrates grace under pressure and the highest ethical standards.
  • Maintains an expert level of knowledge of all Kal Tire products and service offerings as required.
  • Proactively builds business acumen for each client portfolio as applicable to the role; stays up to date and current in market trends, relevant technology, etc.
  • Other duties as required by the role.

 

Job Requirements

  • 2-5 years' relevant work experience in account management or similar field preferred; CSA or CSP designation, an asset.
  • Ability to learn and apply relevant sales process and tools within the role; knowledge of Kal Tire’s sales process and tools an asset.
  • Ability to coach others to successfully accomplish goals and objectives with little to no direct oversight; builds rapport, asks effective questions, and creates accountability for change.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Kal Tire’s products and services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; customer service focused approach.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce CRM and all other sales tools provided.

 

Education

  • Minimum Grade 12 or GED equivalent; post graduate diploma or degree preferred, or relevant combination of education and experience.

 

Special Requirements

  • Flexible to travel as required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
