Role Description
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM), the Regional Account Manager (RAM) is responsible to develop long-term relationships with a portfolio of customers, connecting with key decision makers and stakeholders. Liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to successfully deliver Kal Tire product and service solutions according to customer requirements. Manages and develops customer accounts to initiate and maintain favorable relationships with customers. The Account Manager will provide expert guidance to their assigned customers, act as a strategic partner and advisor on all Kal Tire offerings and ensure a positive customer experience with the company, through contract negotiations, market understanding and new business opportunities with the customer. Pivotal to this role is the ability to foster mutually beneficial relationships with their customers, aligning to the Kal Tire Aims.
Responsibilities
Sales & Account Management
- Focuses on regional customers to maintain and grow their sales portfolio for the region.
- Develop and nurture a trusted advisor relationship with assigned accounts, key stakeholders, executive decision makers and influencers.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
- Responsible for working with internal teams to onboard and integrate customers.
- Proactively remain connected to customers and the ever-changing market to identify new opportunities and ensure all viable customers are engaged on a regular basis.
- Works both independently and collaboratively as part of various teams within the identified geographic region, the role will expand customer share of spend through program implementation and expand customer contacts to maintain customer relations long term.
- Utilizes Kal Tire programs and offerings to expand new sales opportunities.
- Collaborates with the RSM and the Regional Director (RD) to align market and account strategies with applicable business objectives for their portfolio and region.
- Works collaboratively with various internal stakeholders (Store Division, other sales channels, Sales Operations, etc.) to ensure timely achievement of objectives and targets.
- Utilizes performance tracking, various reports, presentations, and other sales tools as required to differentiate the value of Kal Tire as a sales and service provider.
- Prospects for new business to achieve sales growth.
- Provides coaching and mentorship to store management with the region to support sales strategies.
Reporting/Metrics
- Responsible for forecasting and monitoring account purchases for each customer.
- Collates and maintains customer information in CRM to ensure account information and insights are current.
- Records and tracks all metrics related to sales strategies and targets; reviews and develops customer service and retention plans.
- Analyzes sales data to evaluate and update sales plans and portfolio strategies.
Professional Development/Networking
- Serves as a trusted advisor and Kal Tire ambassador to customers, internal partners, and the overall regional network, while actively participating in related local industry associations.
- Demonstrates grace under pressure and the highest ethical standards, while upholding the Kal Tire Aims.
- Maintains an expert level of knowledge of all Kal Tire, and competitors, product and service offerings.
- Proactively builds business acumen and stays current with market trends, relevant technology, etc.
- Participates in designated continuing education training to upgrade skills and knowledge.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 or GED equivalent; post-secondary diploma or degree preferred, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- 3 years of experience in account management, sales, or a related customer-facing role.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a sales-driven mindset and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- A customer-first mindset and proven ability to deliver results.
- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and act on new opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce experience is an asset).
Special Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Flexibility to travel within the region as required.
