Kaleido Biosciences is a clinical-stage healthcare company with a differentiated, chemistry-driven approach to leveraging the potential of the microbiome organ to treat disease and improve human health. The Company’s Microbiome Metabolic Therapies (MMT™) are designed to modulate the metabolic output and profile of the microbiome by driving the function and distribution of the organ’s existing microbes. Kaleido is advancing a broad pipeline of MMT candidates to address a variety of diseases and conditions with significant unmet patient needs. The Company’s human-centric discovery and development offers the potential to be faster and more cost-efficient than traditional drug development. We also have an exceptional team that is committed to scientific innovation, transforming lives and building a strong culture.

Kaleido Biosciences is seeking highly motivated Software Developer to join a growing Core Research Technologies team. This role will be key to advancing Kaleido’s efforts to enable scalability, higher throughput, and improved robustness of Kaleido’s discovery platform. The position will entail building strong cross-functional relationships throughout the organization and translating scientists’ needs into impactful and reliable solutions. We are looking for someone who can add a new perspective to help us explore and implement new ideas. We build elegant solutions to provide various groups at Kaleido a way to access, analyze and visualize data from our studies and assays so they can use this information to help develop innovative therapies. We work closely with chemists, biologists, data scientists, automation engineers and other researchers to collect, organize, transform, and analyze all the data within the company. We operate on the full software engineering stack: infrastructure as code, data pipelines, and visualizations/analytics. We follow a build, measure, learn philosophy and like to use a modern development stack. Our current stack consists of Java (Spring Boot), React & AngularJS, Terraform & Ansible, and PostgreSQL, and we are currently in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
