Technical Consultant (Level 2)
Description
Kaizen Approach is currently seeking a Technical Consultant to provide specialized expertise in assessing IT system objectives and developing mission-focused concepts of operation. In this role, you will guide the identification of top-level system requirements and contribute to the design of high-level architectures integrating hardware, software, databases, and telecommunications components. You will collaborate with engineering teams and program managers to evaluate system feasibility and recommend improvements for performance and scalability. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, with experience in systems analysis, architecture, and IT consulting within secure environments.
Requirements:
• Must have the ability to design, develop, and test a wide range of software and technical solutions that address system and mission requirements.
• Must possess the ability to use data modeling and analysis techniques to inform, illustrate, and validate proposed technical and software solutions.
• Must be capable of troubleshooting database performance issues, identifying root causes, and producing actionable solutions and recommendations for optimization.
• Must have the ability to provide design and technical consulting expertise across software development, integration, monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Must possess the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to create, deploy, and maintain technical best practices, standards, and procedures that enhance overall system performance and reliability.
• Must be capable of applying specialized knowledge of mission islands, Trusted Thin Client, and enhanced VDI (e.g., remote GPU and memory scaling) to support secure and efficient mission operations.
• Must have the ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating existing solutions and recommending technical enhancements aligned with evolving mission objectives.
• Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Technical Consultant (TC) on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity, and must possess DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification; if assigned to Desktop & Enclave Services TTOs, understanding of mission islands, Trusted Thin Client, and enhanced VDI (e.g., remote GPU and memory scaling) is required.
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, or a total of fourteen (14) years of relevant experience if a degree is not held.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
