Application Specialist
KAI Partners is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Application Specialist to join our team. This role ensures that software applications are used efficiently and effectively throughout the organization. They must be able to identify potential software enhancements, analyze user needs, and provide recommendations to improve business processes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to applications.
- Develop, test, and deploy new applications as needed.
- Ensure all applications function properly and are up to date with the latest security patches.
- Provide technical support to end-users to enhance their experience.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their needs and requirements.
- Facilitate communication between developers, IT teams, vendors, end-users, and other stakeholders.
- Manage projects related to application development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Provide training for end-users and staff members as required.
- Conduct system analysis of application software to identify and propose solutions for issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance application features, functionality, and usability.
- Gather and document end-user requirements to create, prototype, and test solutions.
- Conduct user testing and incorporate feedback into the development process.
- Perform data analysis and generate reports to assist stakeholders in making informed decisions.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.

- Capacity to clearly define and meet project requirements.
Work/Education Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience applying analytical processes on IT projects, with at least three (3) years in systems analysis and design. (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree: in a related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. (Required)
- Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as an architect configuring a lifecycle management tool specializing in requirements management, workflow management, and test management (e.g., IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM), Microsoft Azure DevOps, or Jira). (Required)
- Minimum of two (2) years of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) experience. (Required)
- Actively certified in one (1) certification from an industry-recognized certification organization, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI). (Preferred)
- Actively certified in at least one (1) of the following certifications from an industry-recognized certification organization: (Preferred)
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
- Current certification in Lean Six Sigma. (Preferred)
Compensation Range: $96,000 – $130,000
The salary range for this role may vary depending on the specific geographic location where this position is ultimately filled. Several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, certifications, pay equity, and organizational needs, are considered when determining the posted salary range. In addition, eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
